HOMPD FACTS Solicitation For Charitable Purposes Card

Help Our Military and Police Dogs is a program of Retired Police Canine Foundation, Inc., (RPCF). Contributions made to Retired Police Canine Foundation, Inc., (RPCF) are used for fundraising expenses, administrative costs, public education and program services. The services of a paid professional fundraiser are used to professionally assist RPCF in the solicitation of funds. In the last fiscal year, Retired Police Canine Foundation raised a total of $2,086,870. Its expense distribution was 43.53% to fundraising, 24.47% to administration, 6.20% to program services, and 25.80% to public education in conjunction with fundraising appeals. The cost of this solicitation is charged partly to fundraising and partly to public education. Fundraising costs include costs incurred in establishing a donor base. Public education costs include costs incurred in disseminating information contained in solicitations. Retired Police Canine Foundation was founded in 2011. YOU CAN HELP RETIRED POLICE CANINES THROUGH A BEQUEST IN YOUR WILL

If you already have a Will, it generally is possible to add a bequest to help retired police canines without preparing a new Will. Through a short separate document (known as a “codicil”), you can include Help Our Military and Police Dogs as your beneficiary. Or simply add this language to your will:

“I bequeath to Help Our Military and Police Dogs a program of Retired Police Canine Foundation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, the sum of $ .” For more information please write to: HOMPD Estate Planning, P.O.
